added a new film to their Platinum line from the
New Orleans
filmmakers, Kane & Abel. Da Block P

y will be the first film to be distributed for the pair under
Maverick’s Platinum label, and will be released on November
11th, 2004.

is a comedic fun-filled, hip hopping ride on "Da"
wildest block in "Da" dirty south. One
hot summer day in
New Orleans
, BJ (Troy Anders) tries to keep his deceased brother’s
legacy alive by throwing the hottest, rip-roaring block p

y of the summer. But, he has a few obstacles to
overcome. The hilarious comedy offers special
appearances from today's hottest hip hop stars including
Juvenile, Miss Dupree, Big Moe, and even fighter Roy Jones Jr.

Kane
and Abel, identical twins Dan and Dave Garcia, were born in
the Bronx, NY; but relocated to
New Orleans
at the age of fifteen after being raised in foster homes.

, they signed a recording contract with Master P's No Limit
Records. After selling over 1 million albums as a hip hop duo,
they ventured into the publishing world. Their first novel, '
Eyes of a Killer (

Diva" was published in 2004 by Triple Crown Publications.
They are also the co- CEO's of the independent rap powerhouse,
Most Wanted Records.

Breakaway
Films
Formed
in the fall of 2002, Doug Schwab has established a separate
production company Breakaway Films with industry veterans Ron
Castell and Pamela White. The South Florida-based production
company has already earned the distinction of becoming one of
the busiest independents in the industry, producing 14 films
less than 16 months.
Among
the titles executive produced under the Breakaway Films banner
so far this year in 2004 include the films La
